Pilot's Log: October

Updated: Nov 10, 2022

Drone Scout is learning and creating daily. Here is a small glimpse of some projects we have been apart of in the month of October. From partnering with surveyors in order to produce orthorectified maps, to supporting local businesses with aerial footage, we are here to serve your needs!

Soaring to new heights up in the Sierra Nevadas to capture this ongoing construction project. With the help from a crane and spider excavator, this mountain is being rebuilt. Drone Scout was called for this project to capture what was happening in real-time, two hours away from the construction office.

Our Chief Remote Pilot, Jayna Krueger, studies the site in the air before planning the mission. In this project, she is preparing for a 6-month long construction progress hyperlapse. Follow our social media to soon find our what her "call sign" is.

Giving new perspective to excavation. Construction may get a little dirty, but site progression photos truly show how it all comes together. In a year time, this local construction company will have an orbital progression hyperlapse to showcase their site.

Do you ever find yourself struggling with wifi signals up in the mountains? Not our Phantom 4 RTK. Here is a quick clip of our system taking off without any manual interference. In this project, we worked with a licensed surveyor in the area to produce an orthomosaic map to underlay a CAD drawing.
